Veterinary Surgery Services
The Winnetka Animal Hospital adheres to the highest level of care and standards for all surgical procedures. Our experienced veterinarians have performed thousands of surgical procedures over the years, always emphasizing the animal's comfort and safety.
Winnetka Animal Hospital offers state of the art anesthetic and monitoring equipment. During the procedure, your pet’s vital signs are monitored and pain is managed. Anesthesia is carefully adjusted for each patient. Trained veterinary technicians watch over and monitor your pet during recovery to ensure continuous care.
To increase your pet's comfort, health and happiness, we are proud to offer an Ellman Radiosurgical unit. With radiowave technology, your pet will require less anesthesia and a shorter recovery period. In fact, some procedures may only require a local anesthetic.
Radiowave surgery offers tremendous benefits over traditional (scalpel) and laser surgeries. Radiowaves use less energy and heat than a laser, minimizing the chance of necrosis and burning. Radiowaves seal nerve endings and close off blood vessels while cutting, which reduces blood loss, pain, and swelling. Radio waves also vaporize bacteria, minimizing the chance of infection.
The Winnetka Animal Hospital is proud to offer this state-of-the art surgical service to all of our patients.
