Hounds for Hadley

Winnetka Animal Hospital is pleased to be a premier sponsor for the 2011 Hounds for Hadley Dog Walk on Saturday, October 1st. Located just blocks from Winnetka Animal Hospital, the Hadley School for the Blind has been serving the blind community since 1920. WAH’s own Dr. Katherine Hillebrand is a member of the Hadley Young Visionaries Board.
The Hadley School for the Blind is the largest educator of people who are blind or visually impaired around the world, serving more than 10,000 students annually in all 50 states and 100 countries. The Hadley School offers distance education courses free of charge to its blind and visually impaired students and their families. Hadley is also the largest educator of Braille. A 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, the school relies on contributions from individuals, foundations and corporations to fund its programs.
Hounds for Hadley is a rain or shine “strut your mutt” dog-friendly 2 mile walk through Winnetka. Complimentary refreshments, trick-or-treat fun and raffle prizes are included! Registered walkers receive a t-shirt, dog bandana, goody bag and raffle ticket. Dress up your dog and yourself for the costume contest as well as compete for great prizes as the highest fundraising “Top Dog!”
Every dollar raised helps support Hadley’s award-winning courses for individuals who are blind or visually impaired, their families, and blindness service providers. For more information, and to register, visit www.hadley.edu/hounds.
