Thank you so much!

On Sunday, August 14, I will be participating in the Rock ''N'' Roll Chicago Half Marathon on behalf of PAWS Chicago. I invite you to support this event by joining in my belief that no dogs or cats should be destroyed just because they are homeless. All runners will raise money to support PAWS Chicago’s life-saving Adoption, Spay/Neuter, and Humane Education programs.

In September 2007, PAWS Chicago celebrated a milestone by opening the Midwest’s first No Kill, cageless, state-of-the-art Adoption Center for dogs and cats in Lincoln Park. PAWS Chicago is on track to secure forever homes for more than 4,000 homeless pets this year.

With this increase in adoptions, the cost of medical treatments for homeless pets has greatly increased. Every mile I run and every dollar I raise will enable PAWS Chicago to save more homeless pets.

This is a cause close to my heart having volunteered at the Lurie Spay/Neuter Clinic. I have seen firsthand the pets that have been saved. PAWS is a wonderful place because every animal that arrives there will find a forever home!

I will gladly take cash or check donations at Winnetka Animal Hospital, please make out your checks to Paws Chicago, and write “Katherine Hillebrand Team Paws 2011” in the memo section. You may also donate with credit cards via my fundraising page by clicking here.
